To open the door
and set men free
from sin and death
the cross he bore.
Selfsame hands caused the blind to see,
as bled upon the wood so sore;
as walked the sea, the selfsame feet
were pierced, and broken was his heart--
so full of mercies ever sweet
to those who choose
the better part.
